1.5m: Tight and Tidy
A 1.5m cord reaches from a baseboard outlet to a desk that sits close to the wall. It leaves little slack, so there is less coil on the floor to trip over. The cost is freedom: if your outlet is across the room or behind furniture, 1.5m forces the strip into a hard-to-reach spot or leaves it unplugged.
2m: The Desktop Sweet Spot
Two meters covers the usual run from a wall outlet to the desk center, with a little slack to route behind a monitor arm or along the edge.
